10 years of remission...

Hey Folks-
This coming April, I will have the damn good
fortune to celebrate 10 years of remission from Acute Lymphocytic
Leukemia. I was a twenty three year old punk rock kid, who suddenly
found it impossible to climb a flight of stairs without sitting for
several minutes at the halfway point. To somehow get from there to
here, with all of the amazing experiences I have had in between- I
really couldn't have even hoped things would turn out this well.
To celebrate, I have decided to run one of the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society's fund raising marathons. I hope to be able to give something
back to an organization who's efforts are so much a part of my getting
to be here for the last decade. Something about taking on the challenge
of a marathon also feels like an appropriate way to celebrate being
alive and able. I know times are tight, but if any of you are

It's also worth noting how amazing it is to me to find myself in the process of recording an album with the same guys who stuck by me all those years ago. I don't think any of us would have imagined that we could still be doing this so many years later, let alone that we could still be having a damn good time.
Thanks to all of you who supported me, and the band, all of those years ago. And thanks to the rest of you, who care enough to make it possible for us to keep this little band going. Cheers,
